For farms and ag businesses
Records and orders without the late nights.
We're starting to work with farms, and we're looking for a first farm to build this with. We haven't done it before, so we won't pretend. The same offer holds: we build one job on your accounts, and you pay only if you keep it.
Where the time goes
The office work that piles up.
Spreading dates, field notes, and wash records get written in a notebook, then copied into the forms an inspector wants to see.
Orders come by phone, text, and at the market. Who wants what on which day lives in the head of whoever picked up the call.
A delivery run can't be planned until all the orders are gathered. When an inspector shows up, the records get hunted down in a rush.
What we'd build
Tools that fit this kind of shop.
Paperwork reader
- Before
- Bills of lading, delivery tickets, invoices, and forms typed in by hand.
- After
- Read into the fields you already use, with anything unclear sent to a person.
Spreadsheet to app
- Before
- The spreadsheet that runs the shop, kept alive by one person.
- After
- A small app on a tablet or phone with the same rules, shared by everyone who needs it.
Kinds of jobs we'd take on
- A simple record sheet for your manure management plan, filled from the notes you already take.
- Produce safety records kept in one place, ready to show when an inspector asks.
- Phone, text, and market orders gathered into one list for each delivery route.
- A spreadsheet you already trust turned into a phone app that works in the barn.
Kinds of work, scoped one job at a time. Not a list of past clients.
What stays with your people
- Every decision about the land, the herd, and the crop.
- What goes in the record and whether it is true.
- Talking with customers at the market and on the phone.
Lancaster County leads the state in farm sales, and the paperwork rules come from the state and from buyers. Farms here read Lancaster Farming and sell through produce auctions and markets, so any tool should fit that rhythm and work with weak signal.
Questions
What farms ask first.
Is this a proven service for farms?
Not yet. We've built similar tools for other kinds of work, and we want a first farm to build this with. That's why we'd start with one small job and look hard at your records together.
What do I owe if it doesn't help?
Nothing. We write down what the tool should do and the price before starting. You use it for 30 days. If it misses what we wrote, we turn it off and you owe nothing for it.
Can this work with the records and apps I already use?
We start with how you keep records today, whether that's paper, a spreadsheet, or QuickBooks Online. We begin by looking at what you have. If a tool can't fit it, we tell you before building.
Pay only if you keep it.
Tell us the job. We'll come look, write down the scope and the price, and you use it for 30 days before you decide.
